9-Day Turkey & Egypt Tour: Istanbul, Cappadocia & Cairo is planned as a 9 Days / 8 Nights journey linking Istanbul, Cappadocia, Cairo. The route is designed to combine cultural sightseeing, practical transport connections and time in the principal destinations without compressing the main visits into a single day.
Across the itinerary, the main sightseeing is built around Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Bosphorus, Cappadocia, Zelve Open Air Museum, Devrent Valley, Three Beauties, Avanos. Each stop is positioned within the day-by-day route so that the historical, cultural and landscape highlights remain easy to follow from one destination to the next.
Travel logistics are integrated into the program rather than treated as separate arrangements. Arrival in Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey. Upon landing at Istanbul Airport or arriving at the cruise terminal, you will be met by our local representative and transferred privately to your hotel. After check-in, we will provide a short overview of your itinerary, scheduled tours, and useful travel information. The rest of the day is yours to relax after your journey or enjoy your first impressions of Istanbul independently.
Istanbul Old City Walking Tour
Following breakfast, meet your licensed English-speaking guide for a full-day exploration of Istanbul's historic center. Your tour begins at the former Hippodrome of Constantinople, where you'll see landmarks including the Egyptian Obelisk, the Serpent Column, and the German Fountain.
Continue to the magnificent Hagia Sophia before visiting the nearby Blue Mosque, one of the city's architectural masterpieces. Afterwards, discover Topkapi Palace, once the administrative heart of the Ottoman Empire. End the day wandering through the famous Grand Bazaar, home to hundreds of shops selling carpets, ceramics, jewelry, spices, textiles, and traditional Turkish handicrafts.
Bosphorus Cruise Tour & Flight to Cappadocia
Start your morning at the historic Spice Bazaar, a lively marketplace renowned for its colorful displays of herbs, spices, Turkish delights, and local specialties. Afterwards, embark on a Bosphorus Cruise, offering panoramic views of Istanbul's European and Asian shorelines, elegant Ottoman palaces, waterfront mansions, and impressive suspension bridges.
Following the cruise, transfer to Istanbul Airport for your included domestic flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival, continue by private vehicle to your hotel in Göreme, where you'll spend the evening surrounded by Cappadocia's remarkable landscapes.
North Cappadocia Tour
Today's excursion introduces the spectacular geological scenery that has made Cappadocia one of Türkiye's most distinctive destinations. Begin with panoramic views from Uçhisar Castle before visiting the historic settlement of Çavuşin.
Continue to Paşabağ (Monks Valley), famous for its fairy chimneys, then explore the cave churches of Zelve Open Air Museum. Later, visit Devrent Valley, known for its unusual rock formations shaped by nature over thousands of years. Complete the day in Avanos, where traditional pottery craftsmanship continues today, before stopping in Ürgüp to photograph the iconic Three Beauties rock formations.

South Cappadocia Tour & Return to Istanbul
After breakfast, continue exploring Cappadocia's lesser-known cultural and historical sites. Visit Ortahisar Rock Castle, the traditional village of Mustafapaşa, and the archaeological remains of Sobesos. Drive through the peaceful Soğanlı Valley, admired for its rock-hewn churches and scenic surroundings, before descending into Kaymaklı Underground City, an extraordinary network of tunnels and chambers once used for shelter.
Following the tour, transfer to Kayseri Airport for your domestic flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival, a private transfer will take you to your hotel in the Sultanahmet district, where you will spend the night.
Flight to Cairo, Egypt
After breakfast, transfer to Istanbul Airport for your included international flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our Egyptian representative and transferred privately to your hotel.
The remainder of the day is free for relaxation or independent exploration.

Giza Plateau & Grand Egyptian Museum
Today is dedicated to Egypt's world-famous archaeological heritage. Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx while your guide explains the history, construction techniques, and significance of these remarkable monuments.
Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where an extensive collection of ancient artifacts—including many associated with Tutankhamun—provides an exceptional introduction to Ancient Egyptian civilization.
Historic Cairo & Khan El Khalili Bazaar
Explore Cairo's diverse religious and cultural heritage with your guide. Begin at the Citadel of Saladin and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali before continuing to the historic district of Coptic Cairo.
Visit the Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church, Saint Barbara Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, each reflecting different chapters of Egypt's religious history. After lunch, enjoy free time in Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where traditional workshops, cafés, and local merchants create one of the city's most vibrant shopping districts.
Departure from Cairo
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before checking out. At the appropriate time, your private transfer will take you to Cairo International Airport for your departing flight.
Your 9-day journey concludes after exploring the cultural heritage, architectural landmarks, and remarkable archaeological sites of both Turkey and Egypt.
