8-Day Greece Itinerary: Athens, Naxos & Santorini is planned as a 8 Days / 7 Nights journey linking Athens, Naxos, Santorini. The route is designed to combine cultural sightseeing, practical transport connections and time in the principal destinations without compressing the main visits into a single day.
Across the itinerary, the main sightseeing is built around Athens, Acropolis, Olympia, Santorini, Side. Each stop is positioned within the day-by-day route so that the historical, cultural and landscape highlights remain easy to follow from one destination to the next.
Travel logistics are integrated into the program rather than treated as separate arrangements. Depending on the confirmed route, the package includes 4-star hotel accommodation, licensed guided sightseeing, domestic flights, ferry connections. Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Athens
Arrive in Athens, where you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to relax or explore the city at your own pace.
Athens Sightseeing Tour
Start your day with a guided tour of Athens’ most iconic landmarks. Highlights include the Panathenaic Stadium, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament Building, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. You will also pass by the Academy, the University, the National Library, and Syntagma Square.
The tour continues with a visit to the Acropolis, one of the most important historical sites in the world, followed by the Acropolis Museum (entrance included). The afternoon is free for your own activities.
Ferry to Naxos
After breakfast, transfer to Piraeus Port and board your ferry to Naxos (approx. 5 hours 15 minutes). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Naxos at Leisure
Spend the day discovering Naxos on your own. Explore charming old churches, monasteries, and Venetian castles, all blending beautifully with the island’s traditional Cycladic architecture. A visit to Chora, the main town, is highly recommended for its medieval atmosphere.
Ferry to Santorini
Enjoy a relaxed morning before transferring to the port for your ferry to Santorini (approx. 2 hours). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
Later, explore Fira, the island’s capital, known for its stunning caldera views, whitewashed buildings, and blue-domed churches. The island is often associated with the legendary lost city of Atlantis.
Free Day in Santorini
Enjoy a full day at your own pace. Discover Santorini’s unique landscapes, including its famous black sand beaches.
Optional: You may join a half-day boat excursion to the volcanic islands of Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni, where you can swim in natural hot springs. In the evening, consider dining at a cliffside restaurant to experience one of the world’s most famous sunsets.
Santorini to Athens by Ferry
Spend your morning at leisure before transferring to the port for your return ferry to Athens (approx. 7 hours 45 minutes). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and relax.
(Note: Fast 45-minute flight upgrades are available if you prefer to skip the evening ferry crossing).
Departure from Athens
Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Athens Airport for your departure, taking home unforgettable memories of Greece.
